Every mass comes from a named source, most of them primary: NASA, the Royal Mint, NOAA Fisheries, the Smithsonian. A gift is celebrated after the result locks and never changes a score.

How to play

See two thingsA 1p coin and a jumbo jet, both drawn the same size, so their weight is invisible. How many of the small one weigh as much as the big one?
Type one numberChat has 20 seconds. One guess, one change, hidden until the lock. 130m, 1.3b and 45k all count. Some rounds are quick: vote !a or !b for the heavier one.
Watch THE SCALEChat’s middle guess pours onto a giant balance, then the streamer’s. Too few and the big thing slams down; too many and it is catapulted off. Then the real count pours on and the beam settles level.

Questions

Where do the weights come from?

Every object has a named source and the exact figure as printed: NASA fact sheets, the Royal Mint, NOAA Fisheries, the Smithsonian, UK marketing standards and more. Animals are “up to” maximums and fruit are legal minimums, and the card on screen says so.

How are points worked out?

By how close you are, on a ratio: exact scores 100, twice too high or low scores 69, ten times off scores 40. Every honest guess scores something, and there is no speed bonus.

What is HEAVIER OR LIGHTER?

Three quick rounds in every show: two things, and chat votes !a or !b for the heavier one. It gives everyone a way in, even if big numbers are not their thing.

Is WEIGHT SHOCK finished?

It is new on Twitch. It reads your public chat and records nothing on our servers. The phone remote and more platforms are coming next.

Can I play it without a stream?

Yes. Party mode puts WEIGHT SHOCK on everyone’s phone for family and friends, and DAILY SHOCK mixes weight rounds into the daily five.
